American Diabetes Association’s Tour De Cure

David Cross participated Saturday morning in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour De Cure at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

David committed to the 100 mile ride and left at 7:00 am with several hundred other riders. He finished the ride just before 3:00 pm. This was his first official bike ride, and although he started training for it several months earlier, his training all but ceased when he broke two toes just 6 weeks before the event.

Upon breaking his toes, he was severely disappointed that he may not be able to ride as he had already gained several sponsors. Through his optimism,resolve and with the support of many family and friends, he rode through to the finish line and beyond.
