» Delivering Exceptional Service to Build Trust

AAA AUGER 24 hr. emergency plumbing service

At AAA AUGER, we are the plumbers you can trust for a reason.  We provide 24 hr. emergency plumbing service. We are in the customer service business and plumbing is our niche. The philosophy behind our strong customer service originated with our founder Earl Poe. He noticed that customers could benefit more in the long term by not only fixing the immediate problem, but by doing something to increase longevity. For example, not only does a broken pipe need immediate repairing, it also needs flushing out of mineral deposits, grease, etc. which could help prevent other problems in the future. With that in mind, Earl was certain to offer his customers more services, and in turn, he has grown his business to what it is today – six locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, San Antonio, Austin, an Tulsa. Moreover, AAA AUGER’s 24 hr. emergency plumbing service is continuing to grow, and will soon be in Houston!

To build trust with customers, AAA AUGER follows this creed:

(1) Our customer deserves to be listened to.

(2) Our customer deserves our concern and empathy for his/her problem.

(3) Our customer deserves prompt, consistent and thorough communication.

(4) Our customer deserves value for his/her money.

AAA AUGER 24 hr. emergency plumbing service also believes that there should be no charge to come out for service or repair. After all, plumbing emergencies seem to always happen at the most inconvenient of times, including nights, weekends, and holidays? Not charging to come out is just another way to give our customers added value. AAA AUGER believes in delivering exceptional 24hr. emergency plumbing service, as we know from experience that is the key to developing our customer’s trust. All of our plumbers are highly trained and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right the first time.  To learn more about us from our customers’ perspective, click here .

» Ride for the American Diabetes Association

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

David Cross, CEO of AAA AUGER, completed another century ride this Saturday (7/23/2011) in support of the American Diabetes Association.

Last year, David entered his first ever organized cycling event, signing up for the 100 mile course. Not haven ridden for over 25 years, this was quite a commitment. The landscape changed when he dislocated and fractured 2 toes just 6 weeks before the event.

David finished that event in 7 hours, 59 minutes in over 100 degree heat…and swore off future participation. However, just a few months later, David couldn’t say “no” to the 2011 event.

“My wife is a type 1 Diabetic. Diabetes affects our whole family as we share in her struggles. Factually, the day before I signed up for the event in 2010, I was awakened by my wife as she was seizing (seizure) in a coma; her head hitting the headboard.

There really isn’t much time for thought…The immediate objective is to raise her blood sugar by any means possible…..I gave her a shot of glucagon in her stomach, rubbed honey on her lips and tongue, and had a coke ready should she gain consciousness and be able to drink….”

“Luckily, with the grace of God, she came to consciousness within about 20 minutes….Once her eyes were able to focus, I knew we were out of the woods. There is no prettier site than watching her ‘come alive’ (of course, I could do without having such future opportunities).”

“Anyhow, the next day, there was Quin Neal (VP for the American Diabetes Association) at our Rotary Club meeting, attempting to sign people up for the Tour De Cure. It was certainly a calling for me to do this….”

As mentioned earlier, David completed his second ride for the charity. Not having to contend with broken toes, and because the 100 mile course was removed in lieu of a 62 mile one (metric century, 100K), David completed the ride in good form and with good attitude (well, almost)…..

» Plumbing Saver Tip – Water Heater Timer

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Ray Hall the AAA AUGER Austin Business Manager shares a money saving plumbing tip:
I installed a timer on my electric water heater and cut our electric bill down by over 60 dollars a month. My wife and I both work so we set our timer to shut off at 7:00 AM and to turn back on again at 5 PM. When she gets home early the water is still hot enough to take a shower. Our timer can be set so it is on all day on weekends. I’d recommend this as a great way to save money because it paid for itself in just a few months. We installed it and forgot it, then just saved money.

Contact AAA AUGER to get a timer and start saving today. Call 512 928-0467.

» AAA Auger – Austin Rainwater Harvesting

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

AAA AUGER – Austin using rain water to clean your sewer lines, our vehicles.
The water supply planning process for Texas identified that surface and groundwater supplies will not be able to meet future water demand and the development of alternative water supplies is necessary. Rainwater harvesting stores rainwater for later use and is an innovative alternative water supply that anyone can use. Implementing rainwater harvesting benefits our state by reducing demand on the water supply, and reducing run-off, erosion, and contamination of surface water.

» What does GOOD mean?

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

To me, good is better than average. Achieving good is something for which we strive. Good is not easy. We can do one hundred things good on any single job, but should we falter on a single task, good is tainted.

Obviously, we strive for great. Great is achievable; however, a hard mark to hit. Although great is in our sights, if we can attain good on a consistent basis, we are doing better than most.

If we ever fail to measure up to good, please take the time to let us know. Likewise, please let us know when we hit or surpass the mark.

Many thanks,

David Cross
CEO

» Tankless Water Heaters Progressing

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

I have been a fan of the tankless water heater concept since I first learned of it. Increasing efficiency by only heating water as it is used versus heating water and storing it in tanks for future use is very sensible. Unfortunately, when faced with the decision for myself, I chose to install conventional heaters.

Testimonials

Grateful AAA AUGER Customer in Austin!

Dear Mr. Hall, This past week your staff have worked on my house, one fixing a water leak in my front yard and the other person expediting the paperwork and process in the office. The project is not yet done, but I want to let you know right now how much I appreciate their efforts. Mike Krischke answered all my questions about the leak, the materials, the process for fixing the leak, and his estimate. He was knowledgeable about the job to be done, which certainly increased my comfort level. He was courteous, friendly and easy to talk to. I count on AAA Auger to provide expert services and staff, and Mike certainly is an expert. At 7:30 am this morning I was informed by your staff that I had two expired permits that had the potential to hold up finishing the current project. Shae McKean took the initiative to look into this problem some more, and then called me back to explain what was going on. She noticed that I had passed inspection on the older expired permit and volunteered to inform the City to that effect, which should take care of it. The 2nd expired permit was for work that AAA had done on my water heater a couple of years ago, so she made an appointment for one of your other plumbers to come inspect the water heater this very morning (I expect him any moment). This should take care of the 2nd potential problem. Shae took the time to answer my questions and explain what needs to happen, also in a friendly and courteous manner, which I really appreciate. By expediting the process on these 2 expired permits, I hopefully won’t have to deal with the City of Austin’s building inspection division which everyone in Austin knows is a nightmare. So my very grateful thanks to Shae who took the initiative to help me out! Sincerely, Pam Lynn Austin, Texas
